Raymond and I initially met in the Science Educational Equity (SEE) office in Sequoia Hall at Sac State. Our meeting, that day, was nothing more than an exchange of names. However, a year and a half later we crossed each other’s paths again at Club Tropicana in Sacramento. At that time we exchanged numbers and began to communicate sporadically online and over the phone for a month before we had our first date. From that day on we have spent endless amounts of memorable moments together.

After dating for two and a half years, Raymond came home on a Friday afternoon and suggested that we go out to my favorite restaurant, the Melting Pot. Little did I know that he had already prearranged one of the most cherishable evenings of our lives. We arrived 20 minutes early for dinner and were instructed by the hostesses to have a couple of drinks at the bar. After ordering drinks, Raymond told me he was going to check with the hostesses to find out how long it would take before our table would be ready. During that short interaction with the hostesses, he managed to slip them the ring. After being seated, we enjoyed our appetizers, salads and entrees along with a few libations. In between the entrees and dessert our waiter brought out a melting pot and placed it at the end of the table. I asked Raymond what it was because I couldn’t see inside of it. So, he moved it closer and I peered down into it. To my amazement… For the first time in my life was overfilled with so much emotion that I found myself speechless and boohooing. In the melting pot was a gorgeous engagement ring in a box surrounded by pink rose petals. At that moment I knew that WE had found compatibility and true love with each other.

Our reception will take place at Arden Hills Resort Club & Spa approximately one hour following the ceremony. The wedding party will depart immediately after the ceremony to take pictures on the grounds at the resort. During this time we will host a cocktail hour with an open bar where you may enjoy drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and music. Dinner will be held in the exquisitely decorated Heritage Room as soon as the wedding party returns. Please be prepared to be entertained and have a good time as we celebrate this momentous occasion with our family, friends and loved ones. We look forward to seeing EVERYONE laughing, smiling, dancing and (for those who do) drinking.

This wedding marks the beginning of our journey together as husband and wife. We are overwhelmed with joy from all the preparations and thoughts of our coming special day! And what else could make this day even more special is sharing this with YOU - our families and dear friends! Our families, who have seen us grow throughout these years; friends, who have been with us through thick and thin...this special day would not be complete with you!
