Mauricio and I met on August 25, 2007 at Gloria's Restaurant while I was salsa dancing with collegues from FWCD and he was enjoying a night out with friends. Although a seasoned salsa dancer, he and one of his friends decided to watch the "gringos" take the free lessons offerred at Gloria's. He asked me to dance after a good friend of mine stepped on his toe. After dancing and talking for nearly an hour, he asked me if he could take me out the following evening. I agreed even though it was actually the night before school started! He persuaded me by telling me he was leaving to go back to Colombia to visit his family the following Wednesday. We had two dates before he left, and we have been together since then. We have traveled to Paris and New York City together and look forward to visiting the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Italy, and Greece in the near future. Our goal is travel as much as possible before settling down and having children.

Our wedding ceremony will be held at Rose Chapel, a beautiful and intimate chapel near the hospital district in Fort Worth.

Come enjoy a scrumptous dinner and dance the night away with us at Gloria's Restaurant, where we met, in Montgomery Plaza near downtown Fort Worth.
