Our wedding will be held at the 20th Century Center in Wichita, KS. The location was originally built in the late 1890s and was the home of the ladies social club called "The 20th Century Club." In the 1930s, the Louis Murdock Theatre was built behind the house and many productions and movies were watched at this site. It is still used for this purpose today. Currently, the location is used for special presentations, receptions, meetings and still hosts the members of the ladies social club. The wedding will be a mix of theatre and Victorian charm, with the ceremony being held in the gilded theatre and the reception happening in the large Victorian Parlor and wrap-around porch.

We hope that our reception will be a time for friends and family to share our love and happiness at having found each other at this time in our lives. We want to spend time seeing friends and family that we don't often get the opportunity to see in our busy day-to-day lives. We will have lots of tasty treats for everyone and beverages to cool thing off in the early summer evening. Our reception will be an extension of the "froo froo" side of Lawna and the more practical side of Mark. We want to make this a memorable night for everyone in attendance.

It is a bringing together of two adults who have had colorful and interesting lives prior to our meeting and falling in love. It is a realization that to be truly happy as a couple, each individual must be happy with themselves. It is a beginning of a shared life that was a long time in coming. For both of us, we see many years of excitement and sharing ahead of us and cannot wait to share a beautiful and fun ceremony with each of you!
