John and I met while I was working at Sam’s Boat in 2006. When I decided to leave there in November 2007 I let him know and we exchanged numbers. John asked me out and I gladly accepted. Our first date was amazing. After that day, we spent all of our time together. I introduced him to my daughter, Micala, about a month or so after we started dating. Both of them were shy at first. When Micala opened up to him and wanted to play with him I knew that he was special. Over the next year, the three of us became very close. I fell head over heals in love with John. November 16, 2007 John surprised me with an evening at the Marriot Waterway. We began our evening with drinks with my boss Jim, who helped John get me to the Marriot. John told me that he had to work and got us a room. We went up to our room and the room was covered in rose petals. John began to tell me how much he loves me and Micala and that he wanted to spend our lives together. He got down on his knee and asked me to marry him! It was one of the happiest moments of my life! I’m so happy that I have John in my life! He is my best friend and a wonderful father to Micala!
We are exchanging our vows on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Ashton Gardens in Houston.
From the North on I 45:
From Conroe, The Woodlands and Spring, go south on I 45, and take exit 66 (FM 1960. Addicks, Humble).
Turn left (East) on FM 1960. Stay in right lane.
Pass the third traffic light. (Do not take the overpass over the Hardy Toll Rd.)
Take the Hardy Toll Rd. exit to the right. Get in left lane.
At the first stop sign, turn left (north) on Inverness Forest Blvd.
After going approx. one block north on Inverness Forest Blvd, Ashton Gardens entrance begins at the end of Inverness Forest Blvd.
After passing the entrance, you will approach Ashton Gardens through a 1000’ tree-lined driveway.
From the South on I 45:
From Houston, north on I 45 North, and take exit 66A (FM 1960, Addicks, Humble).
Turn right (East) on FM 1960. Stay in right lane.

Take the Hardy Toll Rd. exit to the right. Get in left lane.
