Our Story
Leonard and I have been together for almost 4 years now, we have a wonderful 3 year old son Marcus. There have been some very rough times and some very great times in our relationship. They are not lying when they say relationships are work! But it gives 100 times more joy and is worth every obstacle. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
To my very happy surprise Leonard proposed to me on the morning of December 27, 2008. He woke me up and told me he was taking me somewhere. I thought it had something to do with my birthday coming up in two weeks, he had told me he had a surprise for my birthday but had to move it up since I would be out of town the day of my birthday. He had me put on a blindfold and then drove for about 15 minutes, in the meantime I'm wondering where in the world we are going this early on a Saturday. We finally stop and he tells me to keep my eyes closed and takes off the blindfold, at this time I know we are outside as he guides me along and tells me to keep walking-he is walking behind me. Then he tells me to stop, and tells me to open my eyes, I see it's a beautiful sunny day and all I see is the blue ocean and I look down and see Leonard on one knee, I obviously have a clue what he's doing now and no doubt when I look a little closer and see the beautiful ring he is holding in his hand! He asks me to marry him and I said................ YES of course!
Our Wedding
Our wedding will take place on November 29, 2009 on the Splendor Cruiseship.
Our Reception
The ceromony will be followed by a reception with h'dourves and an open bar. The wedding planner will direct us to the reception area the day of the wedding. There will be an extended reception in Monterey, CA on the 12th of December, once we return from our honeymoon to celebrate with friends and family who were unable to make it to the wedding. Invitations will be sent out soon with information.
Travel Arrangements
For out of town guests, it is recommended that you arrive the night prior to the wedding, information will be sent out for hotels in the area. We will all gather together at the hotel and shuttle or take our personal cars to the Long Beach port.
The wedding party including all guests will check in together at 10:00am. All guests must have a photo I.D., guests 16 and under must have a birth certificate with them. The ceremony will take place shortly after customs have cleared the ship and we board.
