About BRIAN
Brian grew up in Lansing, Iowa. He is the second youngest of 8 kids, and the youngest of the 5 boys. Growing up on a hog/cattle farm, he spent a lot of his childhood outdoors, both working and playing. When he wasn't busy on the farm, you would probably find him on the football field, in the weight room, or touring the local gravel roads. Brian attended Loras College where he played football and majored in Business. He graduated in 2005 and moved to Dallas looking for a change in scenery and some new opportunities. Brian works for the City of Coppell in their Water Utilities department. He enjoys working outside (except for those 110 degree days) and being able to fix things. In his free time, Brian likes to hunt, fish, play softball, and travel home to visit family & friends.
How we met
The couple met while Brian was a sophomore and Stephanie a freshman at Loras. Oddly enough, when Stephanie came to Loras she instantly gravitated to the "football guys" and made some great friends, who also happened to be friends of Brian. Eventually the two started talking and spending time together, and they've been together ever since. So 5 years later, they finally decided it was time to make it official!
How we got engaged
It was a cool Saturday in November and Brian told Stephanie he was off to the grocery store and then to Wal Mart to return a few items. Actually the destination was Robbins Brothers. Brian returned with a small amount of groceries around dinner time and mentioned going out to grab some food. They arrived at Michael's, their favorite small Italian Restaurant, a little late as usual. It was getting late and a few people were left, they had the whole section of the restaurant to themselves when Brian got out of his chair and down on one knee. Out of his coat came a diamond ring followed by the words "Stephanie will you marry me"?
