Ok, the date is set, we have our rings and we have submitted vacation request.

The date of the marriage is Saturday, May 9, 2007 at around sunset in Treasure Beach, Jamaica.

Below is the basic plan:

We would like to fly out of Minneapolis on Thursday May 7, 2009, hopefully early flight as to get there with time to rest and enjoy the rest of the day.

We would fly from Minneapolis (MSP) to Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ), about a 4-5 hour flight, cost about $400-$500, ( may be less but i estimate high) hopefully a group price would be available.

After we clear customs, we will take an air conditioned bus to Negril, Jamaica. it is about an 1 1/2 hrs ride along the coast - cost $20.00 per person.

Arrive in Negril (tourist city) we would spend Thursday night there to rest, go swimming on the beach, eat jerk chicken or seafood, listen to music on the beach. we have reserved a room at The Blue Cave Castle - cheap $45.00 - $60.00 per night we would stay 1 night.

Friday Morning May 8, after breakfast, we would then drive to Treasure Beach about another 1 1/2 hr drive and of course we do stop for breaks. it is a nice ride with plenty of nice scenery.

We have reserved a villa in Treasure Beach called Sparkling Waters Villa (www.sparklingwatersvilla.com), it is 2 bedrooms and sleeps (4) maybe (6). it is $225.00 per night, a little expensive, has swimming pool and beach , garden (there is another villa right next door) but say 4 or 6 people stay there then it would be $40 - $50 per night per person, (not bad), of course there is other lodging in the area from budget to high end.

We will stay in treasure beach from say friday afternoon to monday morning.

After that, depends on you, as the wedding would be done, we are going to stay a week or 10 days and have not made plans., we would either go back and hang out in Negrl or somewhere else on the island. either way monday would be day 5 and if people were staying a week, we would have to get lodging or head home if so desired. it would not be hard finding reasonable lodging in Negril or Treasure Beach it depends on how long you want to stay, if you are there just for the wedding then no worry, if longer we would need to secure for the rest of the trip.

Reception to follow ceremony on the grounds of Sparkling Waters Villas and we will have a small celebration upon our return to Minneapolis.

This is a special day for us, after such a sad start to 2009, it would be big fun and a honor to have you all come. However, we know this is a REAL expense with the economy and a little running around to prepare, so we plan on having a small reception upon the return from our honeymoon... please keep that in mind when you make your decision.
