Our Story
Well, if you ask Meg's mom, we met over a horrific crime scene during Meg's rookie year and Kyle had to come to the rescue with all his narcotics knowledge.... BUT, in truth, Kyle spotted Meg walking through headquarters shortly before she started the academy (he thought she was an attorney), but waited too long to ask her out and she disappeared. Kyle tormented for nearly six months, wondering where the redhead had gone, and then one day he went to the academy to teach a class AND THERE SHE WAS! Much to Kyle's dismay, Meg slept through much of his class. :) Kyle didn't know that Meg was intentionally waiting to have all of her reports read by him. Meg finally graduated the academy after 8 long months and started the joy of field training. Much to Meg's relief, she came to work one day and found out she would be helping out Kyle's narcotics squad execute warrants by doing some top notch traffic control and prisoner transportation (he had all the fun jobs...breaking doors, using flash bangs...). Sly Kyle coerced his partner into convincing Meg that they absolutely needed her phone number as part of the process. Once Meg completed training Kyle asked her out on a date....which she slept through...and then another date...which he worked through...but finally they met on April 8th, 2008 and talked for hours. By mid-summer they knew they would be married soon. Kyle proposed on September 12, 2008 in front of both families (and with the permission of Meg's dad from overseas!), and they lived happily ever after...despite a few surgeries, car wrecks, and many overtime hours. :)
Our Wedding
Our wedding will be on May 24, 2009 at 5:00pm at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, TX (right outside of Dallas). It will be held in a "covered atrium" - guaranteed to be 72 degrees year round!
Our Reception
Our reception will be held at the same location immediately following the ceremony. A buffet style dinner will be provided and an open bar will be available! We hired an awesome DJ so be ready to boogie!
