Rachel Bushway & Andrew Martin

Our Story

Rachel and I met on her birthday, May 24th, in Wilmette, IL. We were both on internships at Wesmoreland Country Club. We spent the summer getting to know each other better, and started dating. Rachel was only on the internship to save money so that she could spend a semester abroad in Italy. At the end of the summer, Rachel went to Florence, and I went back to school in NC.
I had always wanted to go to Italy, and what better excuse than to chase my girlfriend around the world. Outside of the Pantheon was the first time we had talked about marriage. We had such an amazing time together, and our relationship grew a lot in one week together. After I left Italy we spent several months without seeing each other.
Once Rachel had finished her semester abroad, she moved to Richmond to work and be somewhat closer to me at school. We would visit each other on weekends, and when we had time off of work or school.
After I had finished school, I moved to Richmond. We spent about 6 more months living and working in Richmond, before I got a job offer in Charlottesville, VA. Rachel was amazing, as always, and agreed to move to Charlottesville with me so that I could work as a Tennis Pro.
We are currently living in Charlottesville with our dog Jelly Bean, working and finding adventures when we can. We are best friends to one another. Rachel is the funniest girl that I have ever been around, and I am excited to spend my life with her.

Our Wedding

The wedding will be held at Olivet Presbytarian Church. At 12:00 p.m. on October 10, 2009. The Church is located at :

The reception wil be held at L'etoile following the wedding ceremony. L'etoile is located at:

The rehersal dinner is open to anyone that is in the area on Friday night. The dinner will be at The Horse & Hound Gastropub @ 7pm on Friday the 9th.

We have rooms reserved at the Hilton Garden Inn, the Sleep Inn, and the Holiday Inn.
