Brent and I met less than 3 months before I was moving to Boston. Neither of us thought we wanted to be in a long distance relationship and therefore, both believed this was going to be a short run romance. Brent helped me move in the end of May 2008 and we were both more upset to leave each other than we thought we would be. Still we decided to date other people if we found someone (neither of us did). About a month into living in Boston and of Brent coming to visit me most weekends, we decided we didn't want to see anyone else. We discovered Boston and our relationship together, we fell in love with each other and the city. In the fall of 2008, I fell into very hard times with my sick father and death of my grandmother, Brent was there every step of the way. Our relationship progressed and we knew that we couldn't picture ourselves without each other. Then in May 2009, Brent tried many times to propose. I was working like crazy and he was helpng me take care of dogs, because at least we got to see each other. Finally on May 30th, 2009, 2 weeks later than he wanted to propose, he tied my ring to the stem of a wine glass, got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. Of course, I said yes, and the wedding plans began.

We have moved the wedding reception and finally have a ceremony site, they are both at the Universal Preservation Hall located at 25 Washington St, Saratoga Springs. We were going to have the reception in my grandfathers back yard but it became too stressful. We would have had to level out the yard, cut up all the trees, ruin the lawn with the porta potties.. and not even sure how nice the weather would be. I love the Preservation Hall, its old and has character, plus its right downtown so everyone can walk to Saratoga nightlife and continue the party.

If you need a place to stay in Saratoga, please let Brent and or I know and we will help you out with finding accommodations. Skidmore College graduation is unfortunately the same weekend and therefore, hotel rooms are sparse, but we have friends and family willing to let people crash at their house if they cannot find a place to stay....

Im so happy that everyone is coming together to share our special day. It is going to be a wonderful celebration of love, family and friends. Thanks everyone for your love and support!
