Our Story

Audra and I met after 35 years of looking for that special someone. Both being very independent people, we were at the point of being happy by ourselves. Tired of the same old dating practices we looked to an alternative way of meeting people. Match.com was our link to each other.

At first, Match.com looked as promising as any other method of dating, bleak! But then I saw her. I curiously browsed through her profile, reading how she was an independent but life loving person. Then I saw a picture of her at a friends house standing on a dock, by a lake with a ball cap and a beer, dressed in green. I was in love.

After a time talking through email, I finally took the next step and called Audra on the phone. We talked for what seemed like hours. It was a great conversation and once again, I was hooked! After several months, we decided to meet. So I took a trip to Nashville.
We meet, fell in love, and the rest is history!

Our Wedding

Our wedding is taking place on the Ohio River in Louisville, Ky at the wonderful riverside restaurant Captain's Quarters. This place has some significance in that I have spent many years sailing on the river with my family and friends. Audra, being a water lover, also shares a new found love for sailing. We thought it would only be appropriate to get married somewhere we could be on the water and sail away to our lives ahead with each other.
