It all started one cold brisk Saturday morning when I was still in college, needed my mechanic brother, Dean, to change my oil. I innocently trotted off to WestWay Ford. I can't quite remember how it came to be, but some how fate stepped in and the story of Wes and I began. Needless to say, my brother was unable to change my oil, and so it was Wes that day that got dirty on my account. Little did we both know that it wasn't going to be his first time nor his last.
Over the next 5 or 6 years, Wes became a staple in my family, whether we were camping, swaping fishing stories, or enjoying a little family celebration, he was always there. Somehow, somewhere, along the way the joke surfaced that Wes was going to become part of the "Barclay" family. The ideation of Wes becoming a Barclay, I believe, started with my brother. Wes told Dean that he was going to be a part of the family and it was going to be "Wes and Dean Barclay", then the idea soon migrated to my father with them exchanging "son-in-law" and "dad" euphimisms, and eventually even my mother jumped on board.
Now looking back, it is quite funny that the joke surfaced with my brother, because ultimately it was at his wedding, while Wes and I walked hand-in-hand down the aisle as a bridesmaid and a groomsmen, that would lead us to walk down the aisle as husband and wife. He even fed me wedding cake during the reception, on my mother's and the rest of the gang's accord. It was as if they knew what was to come two years later.
The next day after Dean & Amanda's wedding, my family and I met at my brother's house to sort and gather all of the post-wedding items together, and low and behold Wes arrives. He stays for a bit and decides to join us for a little lunch at Cheddar's. The next thing I know, Tuesday rolls around and I receive a text from Mr. Srianekkul seeing if I would like to accompany him and a "couple of his friends" to the Simpson's movie. (It was just him and another couple... LOL!) We went to dinner the following Friday, which became our norm until Labor Day weekend 2007.
Labor Day Weekend came around and Wes decided that he would join me in the festivities at my dad's house. It would be the first time that we stayed together as a couple. I, of course, was teased relentlessly, because "everyone told me that this would happen" and the nickname "Wes-tacy" stuck! Needless to say he stayed the following weekend and never left. (For those of you who are wondering, I asked him if I needed to make dinner or if he was going home and he actually asked if he could stay another night.) And as you probably guessed, one night turned into the rest of our lives.... He proposed Labor Day 2008.

Our wedding will be held at Green Oaks Wedding Chapel on October 24, 2009. Can't wait to see you there!

We are both anticipating our Honeymoon to Vegas as man and wife!
