Our Story
Our Story...
Began a little over 2 years ago when mutual friends introduced us to each other during a day at the lake. Talk about some fun in the sun on that late, hot summer day! The conversation between the two of us began over the t-shirt he was wearing. It said something about New Orleans, La and a tactical officer association conference and of course, anything to do with Louisiana struck my attention. The conversation never slowed down from that point on that day. We joke that it was his "mud flaps" that truely reeled me in. While we were on the boat, I noticed that his earlobes were steadliy flapping in the wind and he said, "Don't make fun of my mud flaps" and its been love ever since! All I know, is that day at the lake something clicked between us and we have pretty much been inseparable ever since.
You hear it in songs, you read it in books, you see it in movies, but you never think it could actually happen to you. What is it? It is that burning in your heart, the butterflies in your stomach, the skip of your heartbeat just at the sound of their voice...it is true, undying love that one only hopes happens to stumble across. And stumble, we did. We never dreamed it could happen to us, but it did and we are ever so fortunate to have found it and each other. It truly is magical.
Our Wedding
Our wedding will take place in sunny Cancun, Mexico at the beautiful Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort. Our beachfront wedding is at 5 o'clock pm on Friday June 18,2010. Our only guest requirements are for you to eat, drink, relax, and be merry!
Dress code for the ceremony is "beach" formal/semiformal. This basically means: No shorts and No swimsuits allowed for the wedding/reception! Guys, dress it up a little and Ladies, wear something HOT!
Our Reception
Our reception will follow the ceremony at one of the amazing onsite restaurants provided to us by the resort!
Travel Arrangements
You are more than welcome to book your trip on your own or we have a travel agent to make your booking travel easier. Due to the resort being so large, we did not deem it necessary to block off rooms for the wedding party. I do, however, encourage you to go ahead and book ASAP. There is a three night minimum. The reservations for your trip must be booked 45 days prior to the wedding date. Therefore all reservations must be made by May 5, 2010 due to the fact we must have a final guest list submitted to the wedding coordinator inorder to have an accurate number for the wedding party.
For anyone who chooses NOT to stay at the host resort yet still wants to attend the wedding, please read the following: Wedding passes are $88.00 USD per person, per day and must be purchased for guests not staying at the hotel. Wedding passes are guaranteed for purchase only on ceremony date.

Jeff and I are really looking forward to our upcoming nuptials this summer. We hope that we can celebrate this special time in our lives with our closest of friends and family.
