Raquel and I met at Walt Disney World. As we were both real couple of characters, it was only natural that would be together after that. We both have many interests including travel, sports, artisitic stuff (yada yada yada). OK, we've obviously been together for awhile so it is time we made it final. She is obviously patient so .. on to the the wedding.

The wedding will be held in the San Antonio Scottish Rite Cathedral. The facility is a very spacious and beautiful site. It is located 1 and a half blocks from the Alamo. Raquel has picked Tea green and Espresso for our colors (look at the invitations and you see those colors), The gents in the wedding party will be in B&W tuxes. Guests should come as feels comfortable for them . FYI - There will be children at both the wedding and the reception.
We have a Lutheran Pastor (Pastor Bob from St. Johns) performing the service.
There will be a rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Thursday night. As a very positive sign, the NHL season starts this night. Woohoo, Go Penguins.

Now to the fun part of the wedding. The reception will be in the same site as the wedding, just one level down. We do not like to wait for food, either. The reception is being catered and the food is great (We've already sampled the entire menu). There will be 2 cakes with a surprise, compliments of the very cool chef. The dinner will be buffet style with a carving station, plenty of food, drinks, and even a chocolate fountain. Also included are vegetarian dishes.
The music will be provided by a DJ.
For the adults, there will be an open bar staffed with 2 bartenders. They will be serving beer, champagne, wine, and will also be running a frozen margarita machine. Also have non-alcoholic bubbly (good idea from Jeff and Cathy's wedding).

Travel to San Antonio is very convenient. For those who are flying in to San Antonio (SAT) International airport, the hotels are a short taxi ride away. The cost for taxi service is very reasonable. While the hotels offer shuttle service, it is pricier than the taxis. The Historic Crockett Hotel near the riverwalk plaza will be offering discount prices for everyone. It is $110.00 per night and you can get 3 -5 per room. We have reserved rooms under Jarrod Nelson and Raquel Mendoza. http://crocketthotel.com/
There is no need of a rental car, everything is within walking distance and there are plenty of trolleys and taxis. You will get in plenty of walking and it is well worth it. The weather should be very nice in October.

OK, thank you all for coming to our wedding, we hope everyone will enjoy there entire weekend, both the wedding and the rest of the time you are in San Antonio.
I would like to make some suggestions before coming, check out the attractions. New Braunfels makes for a very fun day. http://www.newbraunfels.com/
Also, the River walk is great (especially at night) and the Alamo is a must see. Yeah, we lost the battle but it is very interesting and historic.
I would suggest looking up the attractions before you come, to get an idea of what might be of interest to you.
