Climate & Weather

San Diego's weather is sunny and mild all year round so any time is a good time to visit. Between summer and winter there is little variation in temperature but if you want to experience the thrill of water sports or warm yourself inside to out by soaking in that San Diego sun on the beach come between May and October. San Diego gets occasional heat spells caused by the hot Santa Ana winds that blow in from the desert, but these winds also promise surfers good conditions, with strong swells and offshore Santa Ana winds. The late spring and summer months range from 70 to 85 degrees and the late autumn and winter months boast close to 68 degrees on average accompanied by some rainfall.
