We’ll tour the Basilica di San Lorenzo while honeymooning in Florence! The renaissance architecture is full of surprises like intricately designed bronze Donatello doors welcoming us into a spacious sanctuary where Brunelleschi’s clean lines of dark pietra serena form a striking contrast to the light stucco backdrop!

Our honeymoon in Florence will not be complete without a visit to Leonardo da Vinci’s birthplace! We’ll travel down a small country road to an old farmhouse in the town of Anchiano where Da Vinci was born in April of 1452 and visit the town of Vinci to see the chapel where he was christened.

On this tour, we’ll visit the birthplace of the Renaissance buried deep within Florence’s historic center. We’ll explore the home of the poet Dante, whose unbridled love of language spurred future Florentines to follow their artistic and intellectual passions!

We will spoil ourselves as we rejuvenate in the thermal waters of the Grotta Giusti natural spring, with its famous healing mineral water reaching the surface at a temperature of 87 degrees! Followed by Aromatherapy treatments where essential oils are used in conjunction with thermal massages for a relaxing, detoxifying and toning effect. It’s our honeymoon, we deserve it!

On our honeymoon, we’ll tour through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside towards the historic university city of Pisa! We’ll take the panoramic drive along the Amo embankments, visit the Piazza dei Miracoli famous for the celebrated Leaning Tower and unequalled masterpieces of Romanesque art, carried out between the 11th and 12th Centuries. We can’t wait to explore the quintessential wine region of Tuscany! Learning about the history of this very distinctive and historical wine making region of Italy, our guides will share their vast knowledge of wine and more important, offer us a sampling of some their favorites. Tuscany is not only famous for its wine but also its olive oil. We will taste some of the famous Crostini Toscano as we learn why extra virgin olive oil plays such an important role in Italian cuisine!

We’ll visit this family-owned boutique offering an array of handmade leather gloves in every shape, color and size, lined in cashmere, silk, wool or fur. In Florence, even hands deserve la dolce vida!

Beware! This honeymoon walking tour takes place on cobbled streets with a ghost as our guide. There will be, no doubt, a few strange incidents and ghastly appearances. We will take this tour at our own risk. It is not for the faint hearted!

We’ll visit this Florentine jewel on our honeymoon! This pharmacy displays the results of more than 800 years of work by Dominican monks who call it home. Following centuries-old formulas, the shop sells ancient remedies and tonics alongside hand-molded soaps and perfumes powders so we can take some of them home with us!

Romance will flourish on our honeymoon in Florence! We’ll take a stroll along the banks of the Arno River to the base of Piazzale Michelangelo where we’ll climb the steps to the top for an amazing view of the enchanting city of Florence.

On our romantic honeymoon in Florence, we’ll travel to San Gimignano! Here, we’ll admire the ultimate status symbol in this medieval town, the tall family tower. While only 14 of the original 72 towers remain, this captivating Tuscan city is a study of what can happen when egos run wild!

We will visit all the trendy stores on the main street in the heart of Florence, checking out the classically elegant European clothes in all the boutiques. We’ll shop until we drop!
