There are many times that I've had to adapt to another adult in the house. It's been kinda hard taking orders from somebody besides my mom or my dad. Overall it's a good thing for this family to have another adult around, though. It's nice that somebody around the house has the same interests as I do.

It's also been a good thing because my mom's not as stressed out and we have another helping hand so we can get more things that we need to get done, done.

Liz is a really good person for my mom. They work so well together and they're strengths balance out their weaknesses.

This is a gigantic step for the Selway-Udy household. I'm pretty sure we have an amazing life ahead of us!

Well, this is a big change for our family, but who didn't see it coming? In a way, we have been preparing for this for at least 6 years. Liz has been a part of our life for so long it's almost as if nothing will change. And that is what some people think. But of course it will. If it doesn't at least look different, it will feel different. A new official member of the family is always hard, and sometimes might be difficult for us and the people we are close too.

I know that when it gets hard for me, my cousin and my friends are definitely going to have to deal with it. I know that having Liz here makes life easier on my mom, therefore easier on my brother and me.

Something like this also shows who is truly there for you. The fact that my mom and Liz are involving us so much and have been asking for years if we are okay with what is going on, shows that they are really there for us. The fact that my friends know what's going on and support it and listen to me when I have my issues with it, shows that they are true friends. This is a big step for our family, but together we'll get through the hard parts, celebrate the good, and everything will be back to normal again.

Or, as normal as our family can get.
