Last November, Tim and I were in Rome, Italy celebrating my 30th birthday when he popped the question! We knew we didn't want to wait a long time before getting married, or have a big ceremony, but had no idea how or where to do it!

Each year for Christmas, Tim asks me what I'd like. I always tell him an "experience", where we can make memories, instead of buying me "things" (although he does that every year too!). This year he booked us a trip in the beautiful Texas hill country. He booked us a cabin at the lake, where we could take the dogs, go hiking, and even go to the observatory to look at the stars!

As we were looking at pictures of the nature resort, we noticed there were several people who posted pictures who had gotten married there, and that planted the idea in our heads! But, our trip was in 2 weeks...

We quickly called a photographer, who had shot our familypictures previously, and a friend who was ordained and had performed wedding ceremonies. To our surprise and luck, both were available on the weekend that we were going away!

I quickly ordered a bridal bouquet, and went shopping for a wedding dress on my lunch at work. It was all coming in to place.

On January 16, 2016, Tim and I said "I do" in a private ceremony with just the two of us, our officiant, and a photographer. It was perfect, simple, and relaxed, exactly what we wanted.

Now that we've tied the knot, we can't wait to celebrate our "I Dos" with YOU!

We will be holding our wedding reception at my sister and brother-in-law's house in New Braunfels, TX on July 2, 2016 at 7PM. We hope you all can make it. We will having light food, drinks, dancing, and a photobooth! Please come prepared to have a fun time!

Due to the nature of the event, we do request Adults Only.

Music requests for the DJ will be available shortly.

The reception will be held in New Braunfels, TX, and there are many great places to stay nearby! New Braunfels, Gruene, and San Marcos are within 15-20 minutes of the reception, and are home to wonderful bed and breakfasts, and boutique hotels, as well as some of the popular chain hotels.

We have 10 rooms blocked between for the nights of 7/1/16 to 7/3/16 under the Botkin/Reed Wedding- the rate is $169/night- there are 5 rooms with King Beds, and 5 rooms with 2 Queen Beds available- You can book within the block until 6/10/16 and then the rooms will be released to the public.
