Welcome

Tony and I met years ago while attending church in Tacoma.  Somehow we always seemed to sit in the same section and pass one-another in the stairwell.  We had made eye contact on several occasions and at every service I would look to see if he was there.  Tony said that he had noticed me as well.  One night I was standing with my friends Barry and Jeri-Kay in the foyer after evening service.  Barry was asking us why in a church of that size we hadn't found anyone we were attracted to.  We informed him that most of the guys seemed to be married or in a relationship.  He said, "Look around! I'm sure there's someone here you'd be interested in!" So, I looked at Tony who was across the room and said, "What about the guy over there in the tan coat?"  Before I could finish my sentence, Barry was across the room tapping on Tony's shoulder.  Mortified, I asked Jeri-Kay for the play-by-play.  I wanted to run to the bathroom and hide, but she said it was too late, they were walking over to us.  Before I knew it, Tony was standing in front of me.  Thankfully, between Tony and Barry’s sense of humors conversation flowed well and Tony asked me to coffee. We’ve been together ever since.  Barry’s been forgiven.

It was Tony's 50th Birthday party and his sister and brother-in-law Cindy and David hosted the event at their house and Tony's band was playing for the occasion.  Tony had been dedicating songs to various friends and family throughout the evening and it was my turn.  I was summoned up on stage.  I had been asking Tony for weeks what he wanted for a birthday gift and he kept saying that he would let me know.  When I walked onto the patio, Tony began to sing "Color My World" by Chicago, which was the first song we ever danced to.  You could hear a pin drop it was so quiet despite the 100 people who were there in attendance.  He then explained his feelings for me saying that what he wanted for his birthday was for me to say "Yes".  He then got down on one knee and proposed.  When I said yes, the band erupted into the song, "You Really Got Me" and we were overwhelmed with hugs and well-wishes from friends and family.

Las Vegas has always been a special place to Tony and I.  Since we've been dating, we've traveled there several times. We've enjoyed hiking at Red Rock Canyon, spending time at Lake Las Vegas and visiting our friends, Spencer and Lisa, who live in Summerlin.  We particularly love the Bellagio, though we've never had the opportunity to stay there.  This is where we had one of our best date nights ever.  Tony took me out to dinner at what used to be the Fontana Lounge. It was a restaurant/lounge located behind the famous Bellagio fountains on the balcony.  Then at sunset, we turned in for some fabulous live music.  It was really an amazing night...great food, music and scenery and great company.  We chose to have our wedding ceremony at the Bellagio for these reasons and so that we can finally stay at our favorite resort and continue the good memories we have there.

Hola!  We will be traveling to Mexico for our honeymoon.  Since we met we have wanted to go here together.  Well, technically we have when we crossed the border into Tijuana, but I'm not counting that!  We are fortunate to be headed to Puerta Vallarta for some well-needed sun and relaxation!

Thank you to all of our friends and family for your love and support.  We are greatly blessed to have you in our lives and are so thankful for all you've done and continue to do for us.  We appreciate you all for who you are and for the laughter, memories, wisdom and love you've imparted to make our lives and relationship richer.  Thank you for taking the time to view our wedding website and honeymoon registry.  We look forward to sharing our wedding day with you!
