I still remember this day like it was yesterday! It was the summer right before our freshman year of high school. I was asked to go to family camp with my sister's husband's family, which was her boyfriend at the time. Family camp was hosted by our local Calvary Chapel and was the first time I was going to one of their events, so I was really excited about all of the new people I would meet there! Once we got to the campsite, we settled in to our tents and decided to go on a bike ride. After coming back from a trail, I noticed somehow I lost my Chapstick. My lips were already chapped enough, so I decided to ride my bike back down the trail until I found it. I was determined! :) While looking for it, I came to a group of people also on their bikes and saw Joey for the first time. To me, they looked so much older for their age and I apparently did not care about looking cool because I asked them if they saw my Chapstick! Really? Who does that? So anyways, they all looked at me and said no, sorry. I never found my Chapstick that day but what I did find was my future husband, I just didn't know it at the time! My first day of High School was at Calvary Chapel Christian School. I noticed the guy from Family Camp and we grew to be best friends. We laugh about that day even until now and we plan to make even more memories at Family Camp when we start a family of our own.

It was April 8, 2012, which was Easter Day! We had already gone to sunrise service earlier that morning and had spent most of the day with both of our families. Joey mentioned that we were going to meet up with our good friends at the Mission Inn later that evening, so I was pretty excited about that! Well on our way there, I will admit I was pretty grumpy from the lack of sleep and Joey even offered to go back home but I didn't want to spoil the night. The Mission Inn has always been one of mine and Joeys "Spots" because it is so romantic, historic, and so close to home. Once we got there, he told me that our friends Danny and Brianna were on the rooftop, so we started heading up there. We stepped out of the elevator and walked around its beautiful rooftop and down a few steps when I saw an aisle of rose petals and candles that outlined it. It led to a small fountain pool with candles everywhere! This whole time I was thinking that someone is about to propose right now, the funny thing was I wasn't thinking it was going to be Joey. I told Joey, "we should leave right now cause I don't want to ruin this for someone." In the back of my mind, I was wondering where that couple was and why Joey didn't care that we were invading someone's proposal. He kept pulling me closer to the fountain and I completely walked around the rose petal aisle, simply because I didn't want to mess it up. It got to the point where I was so scared that we were ruining this moment for someone else that he finally got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. All I could say was "Is this for real?" I was completely shocked and taken by surprised that I didn't even think for one moment that this could be for me. I am so blessed to have a man like Joey in my life and am so honored to be his soon to be wife!

It's getting closer and closer until I make my first steps down the aisle to marry my Best Friend! I am very excited and anxious for this and hope all of you can be there to share this moment with us. Our ceremony and reception are right next to each other and are both outdoors. Our theme is "love birds" and will have a rustic and vintage look to it. We are going to have great food, music, and just a wonderful time for family and friends to get together.

Joey and I want to thank every single one of you for all of your support, love, and just being there for us. We hope all of you will be able to make it and to experience this HUGE step we are both taking in our lives together!
