We met in early 2002. I lived with my Mom in Potomac Heights Apartments in Fort Washington, Md and one of Carlos' close friends lived in the same complex. Los, that's what we call my future husband, introduced himself to me and we "dated" for a short time that year. Although we later decided to stop dating, we remained friends and kept in casual contact. As fate would have it, in the summer of my senior year at the University of Maryland "Fear the Turtle", Los saw me near his neighborhood and gave me a call. We talked and hung out together several times and "officially" started dating on July 4th, 2005. The Proposal.... At the stroke of midnight Christmas 2006, I had fallen asleep watching a movie, as I usually do...when I awoke Los was down on one knee and I had a ring on my finger. He proposed and of course, I said yes and then went back to sleep. I actually thought I had been dreaming until I woke up and saw the ring! I was so excited.....

Our BIG DAY... Friday, July 4, 2008 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, NV is the day Los and I will become husband and wife. The ceremony will begin at 2 pm. We will try to arrange transportation from the MGM Grand to the Bellagio. Our original date was July 2009 in Hawaii, but we decided to move the date up because we wanted to get married before I have to start a full-time internship and Los changes careers.

The After Party..... The Bellagio Hotel will be the site of our reception. We will reserve a suite, hopefully over looking their fantastic fountain with the light show, to host the 20-30 people that will join us for the big day!

To our family and friends... We are so happy you will share in our BIG DAY! We thank you for being a part of this next chapter in our lives. We look forward to seeing each of you in July! For those of you that can not attend the event in Vegas, we are having a Reception in Maryland the weekend after we return, i.e Sunday, July 13th, 2008. This will be held at Whitemarsh Park in Bowie, MD from 2 pm to 7 pm. Dress as comfortable as possible.
