Love at 1st sight! Ha! For those that are familiar with How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days... Just use your imagination!
Edward and I first met at a local skate ranch in Raleigh, North Carolina where he was working (DJing) and then our adventurous journey began. After torturing one another for a few months we decided that we truly had something genuine together. Once the games were tossed aside there was a beautiful foundation built.
Most know Edward as DJ Highrise, the DJ, but when I look at him I see unconditional love. I still remember one evening after Edward came in from school (Peramedic) he had this huge grin on his face and handed me this strange looking paper with lines all over it. (I thought he found some of Kendal's old school work!) Then he informs me that in class earlier they practiced 12-leads (FYI the sensors that you apply to patients for the EKG machine to work) and that the paper he gave me was the EKG of his heart. He then says, "I want you to have it because me heart belongs to you."
Of coarse, being me, I looked at him like he was crazy and said whatever. But at that point my spirit was pleased and I knew that I already had the man meant for me.
In reality, it's the truth of what you have become, what you are and who you are. it's no longer about "me" or "I", but it is now about "we" and us". Individuals, Yes, but individuals who now will sort through lifes journey together. Love has brought us together and now it's time for God to bond us together as one.
