Shelby Bowdish & Brett Marcum

Our Story

Brett and Shelby have known each other since highschool where they had the same circle of friends, but never dated. Several years later they coincidentally were in the same Cheyenne bar one July night, Brett with his guy friends and Shelby with her girlfriends for Her best friends Bachelorette party. They spent the entire evening swing dancing, talking and laughing, but it was not for several months that they actually started dating. Their first un-official date was in September 2008 for Brett's birthday where they sat in lawnchairs by a bonfire,getting to know one another,and telling stories while watching the sun came up, this may not be everyones ideal first date, but it fits us. After spending over a year dating, taking vacations (getting stuck in LA), going to comedy shows (getting stuck in the snow), living together in our little country home, getting to know and love each other, and our family and Friends, we got engaged and could not be happier to be getting married!!!

Our Wedding

We will be getting married in a small ceremony in front of family and very close friends at North Eltuck Bay, Lory State park, Fort collins, Colorado on August 15th 2009 at 3pm in the afternoon.

Our Reception

We are having a large reception at the Windsor Recreation Center in Windsor Colorado, to begin at six pm, this will be a casual to semi formal reception, we will be serving our favorite mexican foods, have a full service bar, and DJ and lots and lots of dancing so be sure to wear comfortable shoes!
