7/14/2010:
We just got back from a five day trip to the north shore and have found there to be a lot of construction going on in Duluth and Hwy 61 along the shore. Please plan to add an hour or two to your trip. We'll keeping checking construction updates and let you know if anything changes.
7/5/2010:
Our wedding is a fall themed wedding with all the warm colors and delights of Autumn. It's a casual affair that will be held completely outdoors, so casual attire will be perfectly suited. The ceremony is located on a grassy terrace next to the beach. Be sure to bring warm clothes in case it's chilly but be prepared for warmth as temperatures sometimes reach into the 70's around this time of year. In case of rain, the ceremony will be held inside of the resort in their conference room (let's all hope that there won't be a cloud in the sky). The wedding ceremony will start at 4:30pm and last approximately 20 minutes.
Directions:
Lutsen Resort is a Minnesota resort located just 90 minutes northeast of Duluth along Lake Superior's shore. The resort is off Highway 61 and if you follow the green mile markers, it is at mile marker 90.
Coming from the South:
The resort is a little more than 4 hours from the Twin Cities and is an easy drive. Take Interstate 35 north out of Minneapolis or St. Paul toward Duluth. Stay on 35 all the way through Duluth until you meet Highway 61. Follow Hwy 61 north to the resort (about 90 miles).
9/6/2010:
We just got back from Duluth and construction is going strong. Be sure to add a couple of extra hours to your trip to account for road construction traffic.

7/14/2010:
We tasted a few food choices this past weekend at the resort and have chosen to serve dinner as family style. Plates of food will be brought to each table to pass around. The food choices we made are: pecan crusted pork loin and walleye for entrees, wild rice pilaf and garlic mashed potatoes as well as side salad. Dinner roles, milk, tea, coffee and water will also be served.
7/5/2010:
A cash bar reception will take place immediately following the ceremony with dinner being served at 6:00pm. The cash bar and dinner will be served on the covered pool deck. This is outdoors, so again be sure to have appropriate attire for chilly or warm temperatures. There will be heaters in case of chilly temperatures. We are still determining dishes but food will consist of chicken or pork and fish with typical sides. Check back later for a menu update. And, of course, there will be cake with several different flavors.
Following dinner, please join us for a bonfire on the beach. The resort has reserved a fire pit located right on the beach for us and there will be picnic tables for seating but if you have folding or camping chairs, we suggest bringing them with you. We'll probably head out to the bonfire shortly after dinner is finished.... ~8:00. We'll have music playing and everyone is welcomed to bring their own drinks as long as they aren't in glass bottles. We aren't allowed to bring a keg but we'll have a cooler or two full of beer.

As many of you have already made your reservations lodging arrangements, for those who haven't, lodging options are widely available in and around Lutsen. We've reserved a block of rooms under Slattery at the Lutsen Resort and there are other resorts near by including: Caribou Highlands, Cove Point Lodge, Blue Fin Bay, AmericInn and several more. If you haven't done so already, we suggest reserving your room soon as the fall tourist season is very busy along the North Shore.

To our friends and family, Mike and I want to thank each and everyone one of you for celebrating our special day with us.
