Our Story

About the bride

Emily Hicks is a Sales Associate for Arcadia Publishing. She just recently moved to Charleston, SC as of December 26,2009 to be with John because the distance was just too unbearable.
She is a lover of all things beach related, rock n roll, singing, and Thai food.




About the groom

John O'Hearn is currently working as an electrician and is planning to go back to school next semester to major in Psychology.
He really has got the biggest heart in the whole world.



How we met

We met in high school, but neither of us remember each other. We "re-met" over the summer of 2009 when John came to visit his mom in San Diego and needed to go to an A.A meeting while he was on vacation. Emily called John, and told him he would be leading the meeting the next day and he came, spoke about working with others, and took Emily out to dinner later that night.

5 months later Emily moved to Charleston, SC and as of Feb 26, 2010 we are now engaged!

Our Wedding

The Ceremony will be held at Casa Del Prado, Patio A at Balboa Park, beginning at 5:00pm sharp, so arrive a little early to be sure you have a seat.

Our Reception

The Reception will be help at the Museum of Photographic Arts also in Balboa Park, beginning at 6:30pm, cocktail hour in the MoPA directly after the ceremony.
