 | | We met in High School in our senior year of OCHSA, and started dating that winter. A decade further on, we ran away and got married! | | I loosely had planned to propose to Heather sometime during a weeklong vacation with our BFF's Robbie and Jamie in Big Bear. I reached out to Kyle Langs, ensuring that I had a pocket priest prepared. I warned Robbie and Jamie that a proposal might happen that week. Without any warning, one day, I casually invited Heather to share both the rock we were standing on at the edge of the lake (and the rather cold water) and the rest of my life.
"Yeah okay, why not?"
I mentioned that Kyle was prepared, and Heather said "Does he have skype?" So the next evening, with the view from our living room over the lake, we were married. Remotely. With Robbie and Jamie as witnesses. | | Our event will be fairly low-key, as we're a fairly low-key kind of couple.
We'll have a nice dinner, some drinks, and a nice mingle with friends and family. | | We want to explore the world a little bit! We're aiming to go to Ireland for a week next year!
Help us go! Instead of china, plates, houseware type gifts, we're fundraising an Irish honeymoon. You can buy us a round at pub, a night in a castle, transportation, anything! We're also very open to sightseeing suggestions, for those lucky enough to've gone before. | | Very very special thanks to our families for understanding the eloping shenanigains, and for throwing our first anniversary party for all our friends and family!
And of course thanks to Kyle Langs for officiating. |
