Come celebrate the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Bear Farmer and renew our wedding vows!
Kelsey Farmer and Barrett Farmer
Bear and I met in a way I promised myself I would never do!
At the time, I was living in Glacier View, Alaska. The population was roughly 200-300 people depending on the season and was a 2 hour drive to Anchorage. I was working as a Glacier Guide at the Matanuska Glacier living in a small aframe cabin with my fur babies (Eska and Cali).
I had told myself for years that I would never do online dating. My mom nagged me about trying it, which of course made me even more stubborn, and adimit that I would never try it out ;)
Now I'm not sure what exactly promted me to try it out, maybe being a little lonely in a place that had little to no young people, wanting to just meet new people, or just thinking "what could it hurt, honestly". So after a few short months of talking with and meeting some new people, I came upon Bears profile. I looked through his pictures, thought he was pretty cute, but the picture that really made me interested in maybe getting to know him was a picture of him with his mom. I thought it was pretty cute!
Bear was also the first person who actually initiatted a phone conversation with me. The day we started talking I happened to be going into town that night after I got off work. Even though I had a 2 hour drive we only got on the phone about an hour into my drive because there isn't much cell phone service, or its really spotty for the first hour of the drive. But once we got on the phone and started talking it was so easy! No awkward pauses, just seemless talk. I knew this guy was different.
Because of his schedule we weren't able to meet up until Sunday, so we set up a time for a date! It was filled with fun conversation, deep conversation, and hard questions, but it was so EASY with him. He made me feel comfortable and happy.
