Our Story

Steve and I met almost 5 years ago. We were introduced by our good friends, Chuck and Sheila Walstead, who have known us seperately for over 30 years. So, they know both of us very well and felt we'd be a good match. After about a month from getting the "Ok" from Sheila, Steve finally got the courage to slide into my DM's. LOL!!!!

We then started texting each other and played 20 questions, more like 1000 questions, to get to know each other. We discovered that we had a lot in common and liked a lot of the same things. We both like to bike ride, snowboard/ski, we love the beach and to generally be outside as much as possible. We even liked the same movie, how weird is that? (Open Range). After about a month of texting we decided we should meet. So, we had our first date at a Greek Restaurant and talked all night until the restaurant had to close. We didn't want the evening to end so Steve suggested we go get a drink at his favorite brewery, Green Cheek. We didn't even tell Chuck & Sheila we were meeting. We just took a selfie and sent it to them with no explanation. They were thrilled!

After our initial date we've pretty much spent every weekend together since. We have had many adventures of bike riding, snowboarding/skiing, camping, going to movies, concerts, and road trips. 

We are very excited to be getting married and starting our life together in Orange. We will be getting married in a private ceremony five years and a day from our first date. We are looking forward to many years of adventures with each other and our new families and friends. 

We know it's not traditional and not the way it's done but rather than a wedding list we'd love a bit of sun. So, if you'd like to give a gift and send us on our way.
