OUR STORY

A tale as old as time, of two people falling in love. He fell into her life, and she fell for him.

Anaïs & Jean-François met in the most unique way... in the streets of Seattle.

It was a rainy and windy morning in February 2013. Anaïs was on her way to the office, Jean-François was on his way to a dentist appointment. His car happened to be at the garage, so he took his skateboard instead. They didn't know it yet but they were living right next to each other's building, and they were heading towards the same direction, at the same time. Anaïs was a bit ahead, but Jean-François was catching up fast on his skateboard. She heard him coming, so she moved aside to let him pass. But then, Jean-François dramatically slipped and fell off his skateboard, right in front of her. A little bit surprised, Anaïs stopped and picked-up his skateboard that got stuck below the wheels of a parked car, and she went to check on him as he was still seating on the floor. After a brief "Are you ok?", she gave him back his skateboard and started walking again, when Jean-François asked her "Are you French?". When she said "Yes", Jean-François replied "Bonjour !". And the rest is History!

They walked together until Anaïs reached the office, and they talked about their new life in America. They didn't exchange names, nor phone numbers, any information that could have brought them together again, except for one detail: Anaïs told Jean-François that every first Wednesday of the month, she would meet other French speaking people in a bar.

That first Wednesday of March 2013, they both showed up in that bar, and officially introduced themselves. And this is how their journey began!

Inseparable from that day, they already went on many adventures from Europe to Asia, so this is no wonder Jean-François chose one of their most favorite places in the world to propose: Moraine Lake - The Jewel of the Canadian Rockies.
