Once there was a girl from Texas-

She was always one to follow her heart.
It took her all over-
From dusty West Texas to Dallas (the big city)
To icy Chicago winters (an even bigger city)
Then back home to Texas,
When her heart said it was time.
Once there was a boy.
He grew up in Dallas-
(That part is important.)
He was one to follow his heart too.
It took him to California beaches,
Then beautiful European cities,
But something called him back home.
The girl met the boy, and,
It wasn’t long after that,
They realized-
The forces drawing them home,
Weren’t drawing them to a place.
Their hearts, all along,
Knew the way home.
They would forever belong,
In each other’s arms.
All they had to do,
Was to keep following their hearts.
