On this “Honeymoon Special Tour” we'll fly from Rarotonga to Aitutaki, where we will see all the points of interest, both scenic and historic. Then we'll cruise through the crystal clear lagoon to a secluded island to snorkel and explore the incredible marine life before being dropped off alone for a very private romantic picnic lunch with Champagne on our own isolated Motu (island) in the lagoon for the day!

We will take a tour around our beautiful honeymoon island of Rarotonga, passing all the points of interest, both scenic and historic. Visiting such sites as Ngatangiia Harbour, the departure point of the Polynesian Migration to New Zealand in 1350 AD, the historical back road, Road of Toi, built in 1050 AD, ceremonial sites such as Arai Te Tonga, old church buildings, the Theological college, library, museum, auditorium as well as plantations. Our day will be filled with cultural, natural and historical sights!

With your wedding gift we will take a remarkable guided tour back in time, through the many huts of the cultural village to the days of the first navigators who arrived in massive double hulled canoes! We’ll be entertained by demonstrations on traditional costume making, fishing, Maori medicine, weaving, coconut husking, cooking, carving and we may even learn how to dance. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy typical Pacific Island hospitality in the form of a tropical island authentic lunch and a spectacular island show.

One of the most enjoyable times and a must do in the Cook Islands is the Island Nights. We will feast on authentic Island fare baked in an umu (oven in the ground). We'll be spell bounded by magnificent costumes and the dancing of the Island girls accompanied by a row of drummers, the ukulele and half a dozen of the islands finest young men appearing in their wild hibiscus bark skirts with matching calf and arm racks while savoring the local island cuisine. The dancers will ring out their challenges to members of the crowd and be given a lesson in how to dance "island style."
