We're taking an observation hike of the Arenal Volcano and then a tour of the Tabacon Hot Springs. We hope to see lots of wildlife! This covers one ticket for one of us.

We'll take a cable-car-esque ride above the jungle near the Arenal Volcano. And they'll even pick us up from the hotel! This covers a ticket for one of us.

We'll be guided through the cloud forest, and it will be a zoo ... outside ... so not a zoo? But animals, hopefully lots of animals. And green. This covers admission to the park and a tour for one of us.

We'll be guided through Manuel Antonio National Park, enjoying lots of animals (hopefully including Toucan Sam, here) and a renowned tropical beach. This covers park entry and tour for one of us.

This refuge is home to crocodiles, caimans, Capuchin monkeys, anteaters, sloths, parrots, toucans, spoonbills, herons and more! And they're going to be nice (cross your fingers) to welcome us with making us into lunch. Though lunch is included on this ride ... This covers a ticket for one of us.

We'll be staying 3 nights at the Arenal Volcano near La Fortuna, and each gift covers one night for one of us. Staying here includes breakfast, yum!

This hotel is built within the treetops of the Monteverde cloud forest. That's right, within the treetops!!! We'll be staying there for two nights, breakfast included (huzzah!). This covers one night for one of us.

We'll be spending our final four nights in Costa Rica at this hillside resort in Manuel Antonio. This covers one night for one of us.

With our hike at the Arenal Volcano and tour of the Tabacon Hot Springs, we'll also be having dinner (lava-broiled, we assume?). This covers dinner for one of us.

What exotic food shall we try for lunch? Pizza does not count (though it has been recommended to us by our travel advisor?!?!). Some lunch spots on our list include: -Que Rico near the Arenal Volcano outside La Fortuna -Cafe Cabure (Argentinian food in Costa Rica? Wowzers!) in Monteverde -the Falls Garden Cafe (at a resort with gardens and waterfalls) in Manuel Antonio

We can't wait to sink our teeth into the local specialties. Neil especially is excited about new (to him) variations on the classic rice and beans. Dining spots on our list include: -the Treehouse Restaurant (yup, it's built in and around a large tree) in Monteverde -El Avion (built around an airplane) in Manuel Antonio -Don Ruffino in La Fortuna

Two of the hotels we're staying at include breakfast (huzzah!), but the third does not so we'll be venturing out for local breakfast food.

We'll be riding ground and water-based transportation, and then ground transportation again, to get from Arenal to the cloud forest in Monteverde. Dreamy name, right? This covers a ticket for one of us.
