The Starfish is the Cape's only river cruise and provides a memorable trip down the largest all salt tidal river on the Eastern Seaboard. Many believe that explorer Leif Ericson sailed up the Bass River over 1,000 years ago. From the earliest days of European colonization the river, separating Dennis and Yartmouth, was one of the Cape's busiest commercial waterways Water Safaris takes you over the gentle waters of the Bass River, Grand Cove, and Weir Creek on the Starfish, a custom-built, flat-bottomed vessel. You'll see Cape wildlife such as egrets, herons, and terns, along with gorgeous riverfront estates, windmills, and a lighthouse, with commentary by the knowledgeable Capt. Cliff Smith and crew. Cruises run from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day ( see schedule ). Refreshments are available on board, including a full bar. The cost for a 90-minute cruise is only $18 for adults and $7 for children.

The Flume in Franconia Notch, New Hampshire is a unique experience that I haven't done since the kids were little and I'd love to show it to John.

The catch of the day awaits us! As seafood lovers it will be hard to choose from the different types of seafood restaurants and the variety of fresh fish, all complemented by delectable side dishes, fresh vegetables, and an incredible selection of wines. A delicious treat!

A table will be reserved for us at our favorite restaurant. We can choose from fresh fruits, freshly baked pastries, breakfast meats, scrambled eggs, French toast, hash browns, juice and coffee. Give us the works we need our energy on our getaway.

Landfall Restaurant is Woods Hole's premiere waterfront restaurant. Our spacious dining room presents a spectacular oceanfront dining experience to enjoy fresh local cuisine - lobsters, swordfish clams, scallops and seasonal fin fish. Constructed of wood taken from ship wrecks and boards from old buildings, Landfall's dining room is authentic Cape Cod. We've eaten here a couple of times and loved sitting next to the water! The food was wonderful!

It won't be like driving at home. Exploring on our honeymoon will be an adventure.

All Aboard For Fun! Climb aboard the Cape Cod Central and feel the thrill as the whistle blows and your fun-filled adventure begins. The rhythm of the train and the spirit of the crew will whisk you away on an exhilarating two-hour journey by rail. You'll pass beautiful cranberry bogs, natural woodlands, lush marshes and more as you make your way between Hyannis and the Cape Cod Canal. On the Cape Cod Central, getting there is all the fun. (Of course there are no mountains along the route as in the picture!)
