Q: Is this an outdoor wedding? 

A: Yes, this wedding will be outside in the garden of Alexander Homestead. There will also be an indoor space for seating. In the event of rain, the indoor space will be used for the ceremony and reception. 

Q: What is the dress code?

A: The ceremony and reception are garden party attire. For the optional evening reception it will be more casual at a speakeasy type of event so wear whatever you would to a dinner with friends and family. 

Q: Where is the evening reception?

A: We will be at Great Wagon Road Distillery for the evening reception from 7 - 11 p.m. This is an optional gathering and very casual. It is a local distillery/bar and we will have some cocktails and small bites. 

Q: Where should I stay if I'm coming from out of town? 

A: Most people we have spoken to are finding AirBnBs around the NoDa or Plaza Midwood area. This will keep you close to the venue. However, there are plenty of hotels uptown (CLT calls downtown uptown) that also keep you close to the venue.

Q: The wedding venue and parking - what if I uber?

A: We do encourage anyone drinking to uber as it is fairly centrally located. If you do uber all you have to do is have them press the buzzer and say you are there for the wedding.
