Q: Why don't you have flowers? Where are the wedding programs? When is the flower/garter toss?

A: You will notice that many things will not be done the traditional way at this wedding. No, we didn't forget to print programs or buy flowers. Yes, we know there are males and females on both sides of the aisle. No, we are not throwing flowers or garters...plus my mother told me never to throw anything indoors.   Everything that seems different or missing from a traditional wedding has been planned this way. We are not traditional people in many ways and therefore our wedding will not be traditional either. We hope you enjoy this new experience.

Q: Why are you having two weddings?

A: In Europe, it is common to have two weddings (one is a legal wedding and one is a church wedding). In order to be able to celebrate with all of our dearly loved family and friends, we decided to do the legal wedding in the Netherlands (1 October 2021) and the church wedding in the US (24 October 2021).
