Do I need cash?

Yes and No.  Your Sail & Sign is Carnival's cashless on board credit program, which allows guests to charge onboard purchases and gratuities directly to a personal account (debit/credit card) for convience. It has to be used for all on board transactions as cash will not be accepted as payment.

However, you can bring cash and put it on your Sail & Sign card by visiting customer service on day 1.  Cash is also great to tip your excursion guides, taxis drivers, and more.

$1 USD =17.14 Mexican Peso; a few dollars goes far in Mexico

What are Service Gratuities (Tips on board)?

To help you plan, we have provided the recommended onboard gratitude guidelines.

*Standard Staterooms: $16 USD per person, per day

* Suite Staterooms: $18 USD per person, per day

You may pay this daily gratuity in two different ways: Pre-pay (can be paid anytime up to the sail date) or Sail & Sign (the amount will be posted to your account on the second to last day of the cruise).
