Our Story

They say love finds you when you least expect it, and for us, that couldn’t be more true.

She was in Barbados for work when, one day, while focusing on growing her company’s social media presence, she came across his page. His content had the perfect vibe, so she reached out with a collaboration idea, suggesting he and his friends visit a Chukka location and create content to share.

What started as a casual message quickly grew into something more. They exchanged numbers, and soon, daily conversations about work turned into chats about life, dreams, and everything in between. But just before her time in Barbados came to an end, they lost touch, and life took them in different directions.

Then fate stepped in. A few months after she returned to Jamaica, their mutual friend hired him as talent for a video shoot she’d organized. When they met in person on set for the first time, everything fell into place. The connection was instant, and they soon became a couple.

Their first date, on New Year’s Eve, was unforgettable—the best New Year’s Eve she’d ever had. That night confirmed everything, and they've been inseparable ever since. At the heart of their relationship is a deep friendship—they are truly best friends and each other's person. Life may have taken longer than usual to bring them together, but they're so thankful they found each other.

Their families have become each other’s families, and he still jokes, “Thanks for slipping into my DMs,” grateful for that first message that brought them together.

After countless adventures, including a magical engagement on a secluded beach in Hawaii with sleeping turtles nearby, they’re thrilled to start this next chapter together.
