FAQs

Here is a list of frequently asked questions we have received about the wedding and cruise!

Wedding FAQs

The wedding is on the ship? How does that work?

Carnival is having our wedding on "embarkation day", or the day that the ship sets sail. For guests who want to attend the wedding, we have 2 options. You can either attend the wedding as a sailing guest or as a non-sailing guest. All guests will have to be at the port very early to be the first people on the boat. If you are not at the port in time to board the boat with the entire wedding group (sailing and non-sailing guests), YOU WILL MISS THE WEDDING.

As a non-sailing guest, you need to know that you will be getting on the boat with all of the sailing guests. You will have to bring some form of ID (driver's license, passport, or birth certificate) for security reasons. You will be able to explore the boat and enjoy the buffet before the wedding. After the wedding and reception, you will be escorted off the boat before it sets sail.

Cruise FAQs

What boat are we sailing on?

We will be sailing on the Carnival Mardi Gras! It is a brand new boat setting sail for the first time in spring 2021. If you would like to check out the boat, below is a link to the information on the Carnival site about it.

I've never been on a cruise before! What should I bring?

Carnival has a list of suggested items on their Help page (https://help.carnival.com/app/home). They also have a list of prohibited items. This help page is a great resource for everything you need to know about onboard experiences, family programs, and more.
