 | | About Sarah
Sarah is a 2013 graduate of the University of Arkansas, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She is currently a veterinary technician at her favorite place- Gulley Park Pets Clinic! She owns a million animals, and hopes to someday become a certified technician and not a hoarder :) She enjoys hiking, watching movies, cooking, and hanging out with her critters, including Evan!
About Evan
Evan is an undergrad in Music Business and is currently working on becoming a major rockstar/jazz player/reggae enthusiast...as well as working full-time at the Bank of Fayetteville. His passion is his music, and creating graphic art in his spare time. His other hobbies include hiking, playing some serious video games, and hanging out with Sarah :) | | Many moons back Evan was working at Schlotzsky's and Sarah was finishing high school, their good friends Joey and Alissa introduced them, knowing all too well the similar qualities they shared: the love of art and music, the outdoors, and hanging with their friends. Interestingly, Sarah did not like Evan at all when she first met him, and while she thought he was just another annoying boy, he thought she was shy and cute. Soon enough Evan started to grow on Sarah, and one March night they finally decided to get together for a movie- 10,000 B.C. to be exact. Both were incredibly nervous, but that first date led to many more, and eventually to the marriage proposal, in which Sarah said yes. | | It happened on March 25th, 2012
Evan planned the whole thing himself! It was fantastic, and completely unexpected. Not to say that I didn't expect it someday, but the day he did it, I was totally surprised!
We went to Evan's mom's house on the 24th of March, 2012 and stayed the night so the next day we could go to Turpentine Creek to see the big cats, bears, and other critters. I was super excited about that already, but I was about to be even more excited the next day!
We arrived at Turpentine Creek early in the day, just in time to see the cats being fed. The whole experience was amazing. Evan couldn't have picked a better spot to ask me. But there's more! Before any proposing, we went to Gaskins (which I HIGHLY recommend!) and partook in a deeelicious steak and vegetable dinner before heading back to our own cabin at Turpentine. There, while walking up to the cabin, Evan stopped, seemed nervous, and asked me, "Do you love me?" I said of course. And then he got down on one knee.
I thought I was going to vomit! That wonderful dinner was about to be out of my stomach and on the ground, I was so excited!! Then he asked me the big one: "Will you be my wife?"
How could I say no to the love of my life? I said yes :) | | We were hoping to travel to Hawaii for our honeymoon, but that may have to wait for a few more years :)
Instead, we would like to travel back to Costa Rica, and explore the rainforests, beaches, and colorful cities that we love very much! |
