The weekend AJ asked me to marry him was a heck of a weekend. The week before we went to Jamaica and all of my friends kept saying he would ask me there and I told them all "noooo AJ is not ready I don’t think so!" and he had just told me we were getting a puppy after years of asking for one, I thought it would be just a little to much at once. However, after driving to Atlanta and back to Birmingham to get the puppy we were tired especially after hanging out all night with Tohgo (our puppy). On Sunday July 3, 2016 at the family bar-b-que we were hanging with family talking and eating and I noticed a little that his cousins were being a little weird and not talking much but I thought nothing of it. I sat down with the puppy kind of away from everyone because Tohgo was new to people. AJ's  cousin all of sudden wanted me to sit in the mist of everyone, I was just thinking to myself why in the world would I sit in front of everyone, but the fan was right there and the dog was hot so I didn’t think anything of it and got up finally and sat down. Tohgo was getting tied up in his leash and as I was getting loose I noticed there was music of love on and AJ walks up super-fast and drops down to ask "will you marry me?" All I could think was WOW! He just asked me I almost wanted him to ask again to make it clear. I said yes finally! It was unbelievable and I was overwhelmed with tears of joy and love surrounded by his family who welcomed me with arms that were always open saying "it’s official now!"
