Welcome
Welcome

We first met in 2010 at a benefit concert to cure cancer. Alison was volunteering at a Susan Komen booth and Dave was working as a gaming commission agent. We struck up conversation and exchanged phone numbers but wouldn't really connect until several years later.

Fast forward to November 2013 over coffee at the Canyon Park Tully's. We had a great visit and made future plans to hike Boulder River on New Year's Day. It was a delightful way to start out a new year and we have been in contact every single day since then.

Our relationship, which started off as a friendship, has blossomed into a very rich and fulfilling partnership over the last year and half filled with lots of laughter, mutual love and a great understanding and respect for eachother.

We are excited about sharing our lives together and experiencing all the fun and unique opportunities it will bring. Neither one of us has ever been married or even engaged for that matter! After having walked independent paths for so long, we are definitely ready for a new way . . . together :)

We consider ourselves very lucky to have found one another at this stage and are grateful for all the opportunities before us. Especially, the chance to share our lives and move toward family as this part of our journey begins…and let it begin indeed!

We hope that you all will be a part of our lives and our journey.

Dave proposed to Alison at sunset on Friday Harbor on March 14, 2015. Having both been raised close to the water, our vision for our ceremony was outdoors. Pacific Northwest natives know how limited of a time frame that left us with!

We decided that we really didn't want to wait until 2016 to find a venue with an opening on a Saturday night ... so we started looking for venues this summer. Not surprisingly, everyone was booked. But we did hear from Alderbrook Resort about one opening that appeared to work for most all important people: Sunday, August 30, 2015.

So, we booked it! We realize that it is not ideal but it was certainly more appealing to us than the alternative. We've waited long enough :) We are excited and blessed to have our ceremony at one of the dreamiest venues in the region; a place we can revisit in the future to remind us of our wedding day.

As if that weren't enough - we have booked a 7-day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean!! YAHOOO!!!

We will have four days to regroup after our wedding before heading to Miami to board our cruise ship on Friday, Sep 4, 2015. Dave has never been on a cruise ship and Alison hasn't in over twenty years. We are sooooooo excited!!

Please contact Dave or Alison directly with any questions you might have: dwhodgkin51@yahoo.com (406) 868-2878 sultanscholar@yahoo.com (206) 914-2226

Ladies: The ceremony will be held on the waterfront lawn before moving back into the Olympic Ballroom. Wedge heels would be advised ; )
