David and I met in the fall of 2017. Once he was welcomed into the family as a friend, he started attending People's Memorial Christian Church with us. Little did I know, I was sitting beside my future husband every Sunday. I had been praying for a long time for the Lord to present me with the man he made just for me and in March of 2018 we went on our first date. We have been inseparable ever since. 

On April 21, 2018 David asked my family (Mama, Daddy, Pawpaw, and Nanny) for their blessing and asked for my hand in marriage with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. 

David finished up a six month course of aeronautical school to further his career as an airplane engine mechanic. In July, he drove back and forth from school in Greensboro, NC (to take final exams) to Cherrygrove Beach, SC (to spend as much time with us during our family vacation as he could). Little did we know, it would be our last family vacation as a whole. 

Our first full day back home from vacation, turned out to be the day I had always dreaded the most. My pawpaw (my hero and the person I adored the most with the most special type of bond) passed away. In the week before he went Home to be with the Lord, Pawpaw gave us all a week full of pure love and joy and subtly made sure that we were all confident in our futures here on Earth. He got to see our engagement pictures and how happy David and I are together. He knew that David would be committed to taking care of me and loving me just like he had. I truly believe that was a big reason why he was finally able to let go of his relentless physical battles and enter into the joy of the Lord. 

On April 27, 2019 I will marry the love of my life, my best friend, and my better half. We will spend our first week as husband and wife in Atlantis, Bahamas. Your gift will help make our dream honeymoon come true. We love each and every one of you!
