Jesse and I met while studying landscape architecture at K-State. Jesse and I ended up in the same studio. At the time, I did not realize how lucky I was to end up in Studio 106 because for my first two years in landscape arhcitecture, I lived in Studio 200.

Once finally accepting the fact that I was going to be in Studio 106, we began a project called Design Week. Jesse and I were randomly placed in the same working group. Having never even talked to Jesse and really not even recognizing him after being in the same program for about 3 years, I was not impressed.

My first impressions of Jesse were definitely wrong and I came to find that we actually had a lot in common. It is hard to say who took the first step in talking and becomming friends; however, my resources tell me that Jesse was smitten with me from the start!

I can honestly say that I do not even remember how things developed from there! All I know is that it all worked out for the best and we could not be happier!

Jesse and I were recently informed by a great friend of ours that a couple landscape architects are needed in Vietnam. Our friend, Q, invited us to help him in planning out and designing a beach resort in Southern Vietnam. Forgive me for not providing too many details, I honestly do not know them quite yet!

The oppurtunity for Jesse and I to live in Vietnam for an undefined amount of time is incredible. We are extremely hopeful and excited for that potential adventure in our lives. Not only would we get to see a bit of the world together but we would also get to do the thing we love while in Vietnam, landscape architecture!

Beyond potential living in Vietnam, Jesse and I have no plans yet. Right now, we are enjoying our small town life in Beloit, Kansas!
