We met 20 years ago on the softball fields of Valdez, Alaska. Our softball team played in a tournament in Anchorage. We took third place that weekend, woohoo. The celebration then proceeded to Cindy's condo. I remember us talking and laughing for hours that night. It didn't even seem like anyone else was in the room. We definately hit it off. Labor day was coming up and Chris asked if I wanted to spend the weekend in Anchorage. Of course I said yes. We had a blast that weekend!! The rest is history. |
We just want to say to our friends and family. We love spending time with you if only for a couple of hours playing cards, game nights, sitting on the deck, hanging by a fire, going fishing or fixing a big feast. Countless dinners and poker nights with Doug and Carol, you guys are the absolute best! To the many weekends at Marcie and Wendy's in Valdez, as well as you guys at our house. Camping, four wheeling adventures and shooting stuff with Frank and Amy. Hanging with Mom and Dad, making Dad cook sometimes cause he does it so well. Spending time with our correctional family. Love to you all, our hearts are full as we are very blessed. Many many good times we have had and many more to come!!! As you can see we love traveling. From the first pic 2012 Kauai, Hawaii. Marcie, Wendy, Carol, Shelley and us rented a house on Anini Beach. That was the rainiest vacation ever. A huge tropical storm came through and stranded us with Marcie and Wendy at the rental house for a few days. Thank goodness Princeville was north of us. We picked up 2 puzzles from the local toy store (tap-tap--------) that kept us entertained. Carol and Shelley got trapped on the south side and to hotel it for a couple of days. The few days of sunshine were packed with 4 wheelin, beaches and just viewing the sights. The second pic we were visiting Doug and Carol in Lake Havasu, Arizona 2013. What an awesome community. We rented a boat and driver to take us through a beautiful gorge. The lake was extremely shallow we could clearly see the bottom. We were flying and the young man jumped a sand bar and stopped us in our tracks. That was exciting!! The gorge was more than we expected, so beautiful and serene. Good times. The third pic Tim and JeNelle made it up to Alaska June 2013. We did a four day power trip. Here we are on a Stan Stephens cruise in Valdez, Alaska. We had seen otter rafts, humpback whales, dolphins, sea lions, harbor seals, eagles, all sorts of other birds and of course Mr. Billy goat hanging on the cliffs. Of course lots of glacial ice and the glaciers calving. Awesome cruise!!! From there we took off in the motor home up to Fairbanks, stopping in Delta Junction for the night. Off we went to see Santa in North Pole, then to the cookie jar in Fairbanks, Stopped at Denali to see Mt. McKinley. What a spectacular sight. Lots of caribou and Mr. Bullwinkle on the parks highway. Back to the homestead in Palmer. WoooHooo. That was way to fast my head is still spinning. Most of we want to thank ol and new friends to family that make those small bits of time so special. Much love C & D
