Our story started when both of us were just eleven years old. We went to separate elementary schools, so we never had the chance to meet each other until we were both finally at the same school in sixth grade. Being in the same class and spending time being around each other for most of the day, it didn't take long for us to talk and get to know each other more.

One day I got a note from one of Jason's friends asking "Will you go out with me? Circle yes or no." The note was from Jason. Being eleven years old and not really wanting a boyfriend yet, I told him no. He didn't give up though. Throughout our time in middle school I received a couple more identical notes asking the same question and yet I still wasn't interested. He kept trying, and I kept saying no.

Fast forward a couple years into high school and the roles sort of reversed. Jason had finally convinced me that he was someone I wanted to try and have a real relationship with, but now Jason was the one who was having doubts about us and didn't want to try things out. The timing never seemed to work out with us. When he had wanted to try and start to develop our relationship into something more serious I wasn't into it, and vice versa. But despite everything we had been through, we still managed to remain great friends throughout the rest of high school.

Fast forward to a little over a year after high school and this was when Jason moved north to Corvallis to begin the next step of his life at OSU, while I was still down in Rogue River working and living down there. At this point in our lives we had sort of given up hope with trying to further our relationship. Even though we were nearly 200 miles apart living in different parts of the state, we still remained in contact with each other and kept up with each other's lives.

During his time in Corvallis we had flirted with the idea of us trying to start a relationship, but never thought it would be possible because of the distance between us. Fast forward again to the beginning of summer 2015 when some unfortunate circumstances caused Jason to move from Corvallis back home to Rogue River. This is when we started to think it might finally be a possibility for us, and we decided to start hanging out to see where things might lead for us. We started out by seeing each other just once or twice a week, but that quickly turned into seeing each other almost every day. It didn't take long for us to realize that us being together was meant to be. We just wished it had happened SO MUCH sooner because both of us feel like we have never been happier than we are when we're together.

We knew about a month into our relationship that this was the real deal. We were so comfortable with each other and loved each other so much that we decided to move in together after only a short time of dating. We knew people would have doubts about it because of the short amount of time we had been together before we decided to take this big step, but we have zero regrets. It turned out to be the best decision we've ever made! We constantly think back to how it started and everything we've been through, and we still can't believe we actually ended up together and that we are getting married! We are so very excited about this next step for us!
