Love in an elevator is not just a legendary rock song but a real life fairytale beginning for Zack and I. It was Valentine's Day and word was in the air that a handsome, smart, nice bachelor moved into the building. There I was stepping into the elevator with my freshly baked, pink, heart- shaped cake for my nutrition class when I layed eyes on my future husband. A few words were exchanged as our hearts fluttered with excitement during our short elevator ride. The very next day I walked into the lobby and there he was sitting with his cute, four legged dog Miss Piggy. He approached me, reintroducing himself and then asked if I would like to join him for dinner at one of his favorite restaurants, The Ivy (also mine but he did not know that). I knew then that I was head-over-heals when, at dinner, I secretly texed a good friend saying, "I think I'm in love." With his heart in the same place he later asked permission from my father to be his bride. As you probably guessed, I said, yes! |
