We met in the Air Force during technical training.  We were put in all the same classes and then stationed together at Vandenberg AFB, CA.  We spent a year together as best friends before we FINALLY started dating (like everyone knew we would LOL).  During this time he got to go ahead and meet my mom's side of the family (they loved him BIG surprise haha NOT!)

We were already inseparable and it was amazing to find out that we could connect on an even deeper level.  We stayed best friends but finally let those final walls drop.  Soon we moved out of the dorms and into our first apartment.  Soon thereafter we added the lovely Marley (an Australian Shepard/ Australian Kelpie rescue dog) to our little family. Soon thereafter we realized that he needed A LOT more room and so did we so we moved once again into our amazing rental home (way closer to base!! LOL) and have been loving all the new space for us and our puppy.  Moving in together really let us get to know each other.  We've been through ups downs and everything in between. We have both finally met each others entire families and have become closer than I ever thought possible.

Just what I needed after a long day at work... We took Marley to the beach.  We were just about to leave so I was cleaning Marley off to get back in the car and when I turned around he was standing there looking at the ring. He said he was debating if it was "the right time" lol.  I couldn't contain myself (I had been waiting for weeks...) so I grabbed it (so as not to make him drop it) and proceeded to hug him like it was going out of style.  Then I gave it back to him so that he could put it on my finger and then he asked me "Will you marry me?" and of course I said yes!! I almost cried I was so happy!
