Welcome

Chris and Jenn met while working at Copeland Sports in the hot desert landscape we call Henderson Nevada. She worked in Athletics he worked in the Board-Shop....awww classic guy meets girl story. Yeh, not really. They actually were only meer work acquaintances until that faithful day that Chris was promoted. You see, Jenn was already a department manager and while covering the front register, while a coworker "breaked," Chris walked up to refill out the electronic application required to be promoted. Coincidentally, also up at the front register. Part of this so-called application included references, even though he already worked there... Can't blame the guy for being thorough can we, after all, it would be a shame if his promotion was canceled because of an incomplete application :-) So, as Jenn was already conveniently standing next to him Chris said,  "Hey, you mind if I use you as a reference?" Not thinking anything of it Jenn gladly agreed and gave Chris the information needed. Then she carried on with her day. It wasn't until she was in route to her house that Jenn found out Chris' true motives for this reference business. Oh sure it finished off the application, but what she didn't know was that it also made a covated addition to Chris' phone address book where he saved it after putting it in the computer at work. Jenn's phone rang and she picked it up. A shakey voice on the other end said, "Hey is this Jenn." Jenn replied slowly not sure who she was talking to at this point , "yes." Chris went on to ask her to the movies and she said "Sure." They went on July 29, 2004. It was a very sweet date, just a movie (I-Robot). They went out a few more times after that but Jenn wasn't looking for anything serious and tried to put Chris in what some would call "the friend zone." However, his upbeat attitude, funny personality and winning good looks won her over and she asked him out again after only a week or two. I mean who could resist a guy who plays guitar with tatoos and orange hair. Impossible - I dare you to say no to that. The two have been together ever since, a perfect compliment to eachother's very distinct personalities. Seven years worth of chapters in their story and each one more amazing than the last. Now they excitedly begin a new chapter,  starting with their upcoming wedding.

Date: December 23, 2009

Time: Late

We find our couple putting the leftovers away, just saying goodnight to another couple. Jenn spoke up, " So did you still want to open a gift, just the two of us, since we'll be at Mom and Dad's for Christmas Eve."  Chris turned to her and said, "Sure if you want." Jenn always wanted to open a gift. Who doesn't love presents and she was excited to open one up for the first Christmas in their new house. The two made there way to the Christmas Tree in the living room. I was fully lit and had a few gifts under it that they planned to hand out to family and friend in the days to come. Jenn handed Chis a gift from her. He tore it open and excitedly pulled the brand new Chuck Taylor's from the box to try them on. "Score" Jenn thought, "he liked them." Then it was Jenn's turn. Chris handed her a rectangle shaped package. She ripped it open  to reveal a book called "Glass." She had never heard of it; it was very thick but she loved to read so was willing to give it a shot. "What's it about," Jenn asked. Chris furrowed his eyebrows and said,'"I don't know." Jenn laughed a little, yeh that was Chris. The book was pink so he probably figured she'd like the color, she did :-) Jenn slowly leafed the pages with her finger and the book opened to reveal a cut out section in the center with a small ring shaped box. She froze and sucked in a breath. She had thought he was up to something a few weeks ago but chalked it up to the time of year. She saw Chris' hand move for the box. When she looked up he was on his knee holding the box open displaying a beautiful princess cut engagement ring. Chris said, "Will you marry me..."

Our upcoming wedding and reception will take place at 5:30pm on September 23, 2011 at Rhodes Ranch Golf Club. We are planning a short but sweet ceremony surrounded by a beautiful green landscape. The adult only reception will start immediately after the ceremony. We plan to kick it off with a two hour open bar and a cocktail hour. There will be a dj, dinner, dancing and maybe even a few surprises for our guests! We can't wait to share this experience with all our friends and family as Chris and I take the next step in our lives together.
