They met in August 2011 on a camping trip. They had a connection that they both couldn't ignore.... October that same year, they made it official! Shortly after, they moved in together and things have been working out great. As a gift, James surprised Amber with a chocolate lab that they named Willis.... yes, after Patrick Willis! Go Niners! |
After a great Summer and Winter in full bloom, they decided to go visit James family in San Jose for Thanksgiving. First they spent four days visiting family and spending time together. The next three days were spent in Disneyland! Amber had never been before and was blown away by how magical Disneyland really was. On the second day of walking around Disneyland park, James decided that this was the place that he would ask Amber to marry him. In front of his family, James got down on one knee and the rest is history! Disneyland photographers were racing over to get pictures and the trip from there is a blur for both of them. They then spent the next four days in Hawaii to relax and really let the sudden engagement sink in. |
