On a beautiful day in the fall of 2007, both Kenyetta and Gaylen, attended the same USC Carolina Classic football game after party.  Neither knowing the other, or knowing that they would meet and embark on a lifetime journey, they each set out to paint the town red.  As the night progressed, Kenyetta, always the social butterfly, introduced herself to Gaylen by asking him to dance, and he accepted her invitation.  After dancing together the remainder of the night, Gaylen invited Kenyetta and her friends out to breakfast. While eating and clearly not in the most alert state of mind, Kenyetta questioned Gaylen's age, ethnicity, and eye color. They both laughed so hard, at what appeared to be nothing, that Kenyetta accidentally ended up spitting some of her food in his face. This was the beginning of the Gaylen and Kenyetta saga.

After exchanging numbers, and email addresses, they began to really learn who each other were. It was scary how much they had in common.  She had a B.S. in Computer Science, him a B.S. in Engineering.  They each liked and hated the same college courses.  They both went to USC, although one was in Aiken, SC and the other in Columbia, SC.  They eventually realized that they both even shared the same voice mail password. It was a sign! Were they soul mates or was it all coincidence? As they continued to communicate, they realized daily how much they were alike; and how often they had been in the same places, at the same times over the years, but never ran into one another.  The key to meeting your soul mate is not meeting the right person at any particular time.  It's not meeting just any particular person at the perfect time.  It's in fact meeting the right person at the right time and that is what they did.

For Kenyetta and Gaylen both, finding someone to love them was not a hard thing to do because they are both good people. Finding true love, unconditional love, is what was not easy. For everyone who knows of Kenyetta and Gaylen, they know the road to falling in love was not an easy one.  Two good people are nothing unless you add God into the equation.  God helped them to find each other and allowed them to help bring out the best in one another.  There is nothing left to be said here really, through God all things are possible.
